About Myra Shofner

Hi, I’m Myra Shofner and I’m a writer. I belong to a fabulous writers group which has met each Thursday evening for almost 6 years. If you are a writer you might consider joining or starting a group.

As writers we are “funny” to most people. If you want to stop a conversation dead in it’s tracks, say, “I’m a writer.” Check it out and see if I’m right. If I’m wrong, you’ve just met a wonderful person.

Avid readers are exceptions to the rule. People who enjoy the pleasure of reading will be interested in meeting a writer and will respect your craft.

So, this blog has a lot of appeal for both writers and readers. Feel free to make comments and become an active part of this blog.

I love traveling with my husband all over the world as part of our commitment to encourage pastors and churches. I get a lot of material to write about on these travels.

I love writing. I love reading. I have a passion for encouraging people to write. Everyone has a story to tell. It’s work getting it on paper and it’s my joy to help anyone with a desire a write.

My background includes: teaching English, drama, speech and creative writing. As a free-lance writer I have published short stories, children’s books, inspiration, biblical study books, curriculum, magazine articles, etc. Now, as a writer for my own independent publishing company I am writing novels. I have published: With My Little Eye, a mystery story set in Milton, Fl., Lawfully Years, a legal-love-mystery, set in the fictitious city of San Cristobal, Every Time We Kiss, a love story also set in San Cristobal,S Short Stuff, a collection of my amusing, mysterious, sometimes bizarre and outrageous short stories, and a couple more.
